What we are doing to keep our stores & you safe
The safety of teams and customers is our top priority and we have put in place control measures to keep both our teams and local communities safe.
We’re following the latest Government advice to keep everyone safe.
Below is a summary of the control measures that we have put in place.
Coffee shops open for takeaway, delivery and sit in
We are phasing the opening of our stores and you can find a list of open shops here (can we please link). All open stores are open for takeaway and delivery and where possible, we have opened seating areas with safe distancing measures.
Track & Trace
There are Track & Trace solutions for all our stores that have their seating area open. You will be asked to provide your name and contact number when ordering or prompted to complete when scanning the QR code at your table.
We have a number of digital solutions to ordering ahead and collecting contact-free in our shops. You can order ahead here (please add link)
Maximum Number of Customers
We have carefully reviewed the amount space in our stores. There is a maximum capacity sign up in every store. The signage clearly indicates the maximum number of customers permitted in the store at any one time.
We always had robust cleaning procedures in place. In addition to our normal procedures, we are cleaning all constantly touched surfaces on the hour, every hour, as well as cleaning as we go and enforcing rigorous personal hygiene procedures.
We are managing queues in our stores to maintain safe distancing.
Social Distancing Signage
Every store has social distancing signage on display and on the floor to help customers navigate our stores and remind them of their and our responsibilities.
Removed Reusable Ceramics
We have temporarily stopped serving drinks in reusable cups, including customers own reusable cups. When we believe it is safe to do so, we will be looking to reintroduce reusable cups.
We are checking in with our teams in all our stores before they start and during their shift to make sure they feel fit, well and have not come into contact with anyone that has been unwell.
We have introduced temporary screens at our tills and/or service points.
All our team members have all received detailed training on the new control measures. We continue to retrain and issue guides as and when the official guidance changes.
Free hand sanitiser is available at all tills and positioned outside the WC facilities that are open (limited stores only).
We have face masks available in all our stores for team members to wear if they choose to.
We have removed all non-essential equipment and furniture to create more space in our stores.
